THE COMPANY
Operating in Dublin since 1998, Renaissance Re are a global provider of reinsurance and insurance. RenRe previously occupied a single floor of Hardwicke House, and were looking to relocate their existing floor space to accommodate the growing needs of their business.
THE BRIEF
The refurbishment and relocation of their European Offices at Hardwicke House, and the creation of a conferencing / training facility. CBI managed the full construction and fit out of the space including the supply of all furniture, partitioned offices, carpets and kitchens. Mechanical systems were upgraded along with the provision of new data infrastructure. New ceilings, lights, wall coverings and artwork were all provided to complete the project.
WORKS
The client sought a contemporary office design that was appropriate to the working environment, but also in keeping with the relaxed employee driven atmosphere of the company. Existing 120 degree workstations and ‘Aeron’ chairs were reused across the working environment, with additional furniture sourced to compliment the fit out.
A monochromatic green paint scheme was used in a gradient throughout the open plan going from dark to light, alongside textured wall vinyls in complementary colours. Earth tone floor tiles from Interface flooring pick up on the Zebrano finish in the solid wall partition sections. Manifestation on the glass was specifically designed for our client and applied after the modules were installed.The canteen is the space which is used by all staff and the client opted for a fun and vibrant canteen design with a lively feel. A large central island for preparing food was surrounded with storage and appliances. A coffee dock where staff can grab a quick coffee. A breakout area was set apart from the rest of the room with a wood effect floor tile and applying a wall vinyl of the Irish coastline across the wall.
Due to the global nature of their business, meeting rooms required to have state of the art video conferencing equipment. Furniture was selected from the Verco DNA range, with walnut veneer tops and polished chrome frames, with a flexible cable management solution.
