Capita is a leading UK business process outsourcing and professional services company, delivering back office administration and front office customer contact services to private and public sector organisations across the UK & Ireland, Europe, India and the Middle East. Capita currently employs nearly 3,000 people across the North and South and are growing their business in Ireland.
THE BRIEF
After the successful completion of the project in Maynooth, Capita leased another building at Grand Canal Square. CBI worked alongside Capita’s project team in designing and fitting all seating, furniture, partitions, kitchens and floor finishes in this modern facility in the centre of Dublin.
WORKS
Supply and installation of demountable partitioning, store-wall, floor finishes, canteen and meeting room furniture, reception furniture, open plan and executive office furniture and kitchen/kitchenettes.
The canteen was required to accommodate 100 people at any one time. High gloss kitchen units in red and walnut finish were chosen with a central island for food preparation and informal meeting. A separate coffee dock was designed to provide a dedicated area just for self service of tea and coffee. The back of this unit was finished with lacquered wall panels and an insert TV.
Veneer tables were installed for the conference rooms with a mix of executive seating styles. Full height divide walls with addi- tional sound baffling were installed between rooms to ensure maximum acoustics. Each room was fitted with full audio visual capabilities. Bench style desking was used throughout the office space. Full height storage was strategically positioned to maximise space. Corridor routes were defined with darker carpet tiles. This also served to define different departments in the business units. All offices feature full height solid core walnut doors with glass vision panels 1.2m wide double glazed panels and double slabbed insulated divide walls for extra sound reduction.
